TROOP MEETING

Troop will meet on Tuesday, September 12th at 7:15 PM at OSLC.  Please arrive around 7:00 PM so we can begin the meeting on time.

Scouts interested in signing up for a Board of Review on Tuesday, September 19th should either sign up for a time slot at this meeting or send Mr. Pramod Gupta (See blast for email) an email to be added to the list.

Scouts who have finished tracking their Personal Fitness log:  Ms. Athas and Ms. Healy will be at this week’s meeting to review your 12-week fitness log.  Bring the log with you to have it signed off.

FUNDRAISING / WREATH SALES

 

Our annual wreath fundraiser is starting now ! The wreath sales packets will be handed out at Tuesday’s meeting.  The packet of information will include instructions for the sale, a wreath profit list, a blank turn-in sheet, an order form for delivery items, and an order form for direct ship items.  The first turn-in date is September 26th.  Any sales turned in at that time will earn a 10% profit bonus!  As this is the main fundraiser for the Troop, each scout is encouraged to sell $80 in wreath profits.  New this year, each scout will have the opportunity to earn up to an $80 discount on their re-charter fees due December 1.  For example, if the scout earns $80 in wreath profits, an $80 discount will be applied to his re-charter fees.  If the scout earns $30 in wreath profits, a $30 discount will be applied to their re-charter fees.  Profits earned above $80 will be split 2/3 to the scout’s fundraising scout account and 1/3 to the Troop.  In addition, monetary prizes will be awarded to the four top sellers (to be added to the fundraising scout account)!  So Get Out There and Start Selling!!

STEM-O-RAMA ASSISTANCE OPPORTUNITY

Troop 107 is looking for a few Scouts who are going to our STEM-O-Rama camp-out and would like to man a booth for one hour and teach other Scouts a simple science experiment.  This volunteer opportunity is a great way to work with and recruit from Pack 567 and Pack 105 (and potentially others).

Where:  Sandwich Fairgrounds (1401 Suydam Rd.), Sandwich, IL

Activities:  STEM-O-Rama

Costs:  $45.00 (the price is the same for one or two nights of camping – transportation = $4.00 / food = $16.00 / event admission = $25.00)

Notes:  No open fires will be allowed.  May need to volunteer to cook chili ahead of time.  Contact Mrs. Heidi Athas (heidiathas@gmail.com) if you would like to cook chili for the troop.

Our September 2017 Committee Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 24th at 7:30 PM in the Bonhoeffer Conference Room of OSLC.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

We will conduct Boards of Review for the Scouts signed up.  These will be held in The Market Place room.  Mr. Pramod Gupta will be our lead for these Boards of Review.  He will need two parents to assist.  The times and Scouts are as follows:

  3. 8:00 PM – Karl Borgehammar
